Where This Bathroom Started
This bathroom had the all-white look of many Las Vegas valley homes from the 1990s: a white tub and shower corner under a glass block window, a white vanity with a built-in makeup counter, and a high vaulted ceiling that the lighting never quite reached. The photo shows it mid-demolition, with the old floor already taken up down to the subfloor.
The scope covered everything you touch every day: a remodeled shower, a new vanity, new mirrors and light fixtures, and new flooring throughout. Taking the floor out first is the right order. It lets the shower, vanity and floor be planned as one layout instead of fitting new pieces around old ones.
A Walk-In Shower in Place of the Tub Corner
The old tub corner became a walk-in shower, tiled in large-format gray porcelain on the walls with a pebble-style mosaic on the floor. The window above stays, so the shower gets daylight, and a recessed niche holds bottles without adding a caddy.
Large wall tiles mean far fewer grout lines, which matters in Las Vegas more than most places. The water here is hard, and grout is where mineral scale shows first. A pebble floor does the opposite job: its many small joints give grip underfoot and let the floor slope evenly to the drain. What a bathroom remodel costs.
New Vanity, Mirrors, Lights and Floor
The white vanity and makeup counter were replaced with a charcoal double vanity and white tops, with new mirrors and new light fixtures above each basin. Fixtures at mirror height put light on faces rather than casting shadows from a high ceiling, which is the most noticeable everyday change in a room like this.
The floor is a light oak-look vinyl plank, run through the whole room. Vinyl plank is a practical choice for a bathroom: it handles splashes and humidity far better than wood, stays warmer underfoot than tile, and the light tone brightens a room with dark cabinetry. Before and After
Bathroom Remodeling
We remodel bathrooms across the Las Vegas valley, from a single tub-to-shower conversion to full rebuilds like this one with a new shower, vanity, lighting and flooring. Tile, flooring and painting are done by our own licensed crews rather than subcontracted, so the trades that usually hold up a bathroom schedule are ours to manage.
The decisions that matter most here are the same in most homes: whether a tub still earns its space, how to keep hard water off the grout, and whether the lighting actually reaches the vanity. We work through each before anything is ordered.
