Two-Bathroom Remodel in Paradise

The Starting Point

Where the Hall Bath Started

The hall bathroom was a long, narrow room finished the builder-grade way: a white double vanity, small square gray floor tile, and a tub at the far end behind a shower curtain. Nothing was broken, but nothing tied together either, and the curtain made the end of the room feel like an afterthought.

The scope for both bathrooms in this home covered new vanities, mirrors, light fixtures and tile floors, plus a full remodel of each tub and shower.

New Vanity, Mirror, Lighting and Floor

The new double vanity keeps the white finish but pairs it with matte black faucets, a black vanity light and a new mirror, with floating wood shelves on the wall beside it for towels and baskets. The small square floor tile was replaced with large-format gray tile, which suits a long room: fewer joints make it read wider and clean faster.

Carrying one fixture finish through a room is a small decision with a big effect. Matte black on the faucets, light, shower hardware and door frame makes the bathroom look designed as a set rather than assembled over the years.

The Tub

Keeping the Tub, Remodeling Everything Around It

Here the tub stayed, because a hall bath used by kids or guests often needs one. What changed is everything around it: a patterned accent tile on the back wall, white tile on the sides, a recessed niche for bottles, and black-framed sliding glass doors in place of the curtain.

Putting the patterned tile on one wall only is the cost-effective way to use a bold tile. It carries the design of the whole room while the plainer surround keeps the material bill down. What a bathroom remodel costs.

The Second Bathroom

A Tub Under the Window

The second bathroom had a tub and a floral curtain under the window, next to a white vanity. It's a layout many homeowners use more for showering than bathing, which makes the tub dead space most days.

That made it a good candidate for the change most requested in bathrooms like this: taking out the tub and building a walk-in shower in its place.

A Walk-In Shower Where the Tub Was

The tub came out and a walk-in shower went in, tiled with the same patterned accent tile used in the hall bath so the two rooms relate to each other. The window stays above the shower for daylight, with a long tiled ledge beneath it for bottles, and a frameless glass panel keeps the room open instead of boxing it in.

A sage green double vanity with a black light fixture and mirror gives this room its own character, and the large gray floor tile matches the hall bath. More on our bathroom remodeling.

The Service Behind This Project

Bathroom Remodeling

We remodel bathrooms across the Las Vegas valley, from a single tub-to-shower conversion to full rebuilds like this one: new vanities, lighting and tile, and tubs turned into walk-in showers. Tile, flooring and painting are done by our own licensed crews rather than subcontracted, so the trades that usually hold up a bathroom schedule are ours to manage.

The decisions that matter most here are the same in most homes: whether a tub still earns its space, how to keep hard water off the grout, and whether the lighting actually reaches the vanity. We work through each before anything is ordered.
